Summary:

Reporting to the VP of Global Product Management, the Product Manager, Temp Access will be responsible for the marketing of temporary access equipment and related products and services for the Spider® and Power Climber divisions of SafeWorks. Product Manager will be primarily responsible for tactical product programs in support of the sales channel as well as product knowledge base, multi-product solutions, product cost and pricing. The person will also contribute to the development of new product initiatives.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and maintain a knowledge base of SafeWorks and competitive products in identified market segment to support Sales Teams
  • Train the Sales Teams on existing and new products to deliver the product/service message - features, benefits, applications, and positioning
  • Develop product and application presentations customized for customers as requested by the Sales Teams
  • Participate in account planning and strategic selling activities in partnership with the Sales Teams to secure technical approval and/or acceptance of the products
  • Initiate and manage marketing strategies and processes to maximize product line revenue and margin
  • Develop, implement and measure ROI of incentive programs
  • Develop the marketing deliverables needed to drive product line demand to meet revenue and margin goals
  • Create presentation content and work with MARCOM to develop marketing collateral including product brochures and solution documents
  • Work with other members of the Product Marketing Group to identify cross product and bundling opportunities across all product lines
  • Monitor and train on competing products and perform feature/functionality reviews
  • Work with partners and suppliers to understand new product initiatives and suggest new features applicable to the intended market
  • Identify and develop through Voice of Customer new product opportunities.
  • Develop MRS and champion throughout the cross-functional NPD process. Responsible for all product launch deliverables.
  • Determine market price levels and prepare winning pricing strategies. Responsible for pricing analysis and price list proposals.
  • Track the progress of the product line within the assigned segment, including profit and loss.

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or STEM field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 3 years of Product Line Marketing experience
  • Complete understanding of marketing processes in an industrial environment
  • Knowledge of the construction or industrial safety product line, applications and market segment solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to use financial models to understand margins, costs and create scenarios models
  • Demonstrated ability to apply analytical techniques and make sound recommendations and judgments from analysis.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%

Physical Demands

This position requires that an employee be able to stand, walk, and navigate typical construction sites. Occasionally reach, stretch, climb, crouch, push or pull large objects; requires finger and hand dexterity, grasping with repetitive motion. Hearing and visual acuity is required.
